wbroomfieldWilliam has held numerous positions in the past two decades that were dedicated towards motivating, empowering, and educating at-risk students in both Los Angeles and Fresno County. He had the privilege of holding the position of School-to-Career Assistant Director for the City of Long Beach bringing both educators and businesses together to create working opportunities for both at-risk and underrepresented communities. He then was recruited by the entertainment industry where he worked as the Director of Community Educational Outreach and Training at Workplace Hollywood, the non-profit representing the 7 major studios and network television in Hollywood for six years.

In 2003 he took the position of Events Manager with the City of Fresno where he increasing the number of community events and festivals from 7 to over 300 annually. He also received the 2009 California State CPRS Economic Impact Award for Special Events. In 2012, William joined together with Alan and Randall to form CenCal Mentoring Academy.

A product himself of the inner-city of Long Beach, William has never forgotten where he came from. He has always had a passion for motivating and helping at-risk students get into college and secure entry level employment and internship opportunities. He currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
